02/01/2010 The name of the Heraeus‘ primary bone cement is changing from PALAMED® to PALACOS® MV (medium viscosity).
The name change will be done to increase product transparency for our customers. In the future all bone cements for primary arthroplasty will be known by the name PALACOS®, followed by a suffix indicating the viscosity. All cements are based on the same proven ingredients and are available with the addition of Gentamicin as well.
(Exceptions: In Spain, Greece, Italy and Poland the product name will remain unchanged).
