Information on our Delivery Situation

Heraeus Medical has successfully resumed the production of pouch bone cements at its main production site following a technical machine failure. The cause of the machine failure has been fully identified and rectified. 

The shutdown of the affected plant led to temporary restrictions in the manufacture of individual product lines.

Following fault analysis and technical measures, production has now resumed. However, due to the necessary production cycles and product sterilization times, Heraeus Medical expects first product release to the market starting from end of June 2026.

Ramping up all the different product variants and fulfilling the backlog of demand will, however, take another one to two months until full restoration of the global delivery capability Heraeus Medical´s pouch cement products.

The company’s top priority is to ensure a reliable supply, especially for its customers' patient care. Heraeus Medical is working hard to continuously support the market and restore full delivery capacity as quickly as possible.

Heraeus Medical is providing its customers with transparent information on the current status and is in close contact and constant dialogue with the responsible authorities.

Background on the Current Situation
The cause of the disruption is unexpected critical packaging equipment failure at our primary manufacturing facility. The temporary production slowdown has resulted in a supply shortage, impacting our ability to fulfill orders at normal levels.
