Over the course of the meeting, Heraeus Medical supported and trained more than 200 Orthopedic Residents and Fellows, with a focus on Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA), Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA), and Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI). These hands-on sessions provided invaluable insights into surgical best practices and the latest innovations in bone cement fixation, application, and revision products.
A highlight of the conference was our clinical symposium, “Beyond the Mix,” led by Dr. Derek Amanatullah and featuring an esteemed panel including Dr. Anna Cohen-Rosenblum, Dr. Erik Hansen, and Dr. Matthew Dietz. The symposium explored critical topics such as primary arthroplasty techniques, antibiotic-loaded bone cement (ALBC), and dual antibiotic-loaded bone cement (DALBC) strategies in revision surgeries. With a strong attendance of engaged participants, the session underscored the growing interest and importance of evidence-based cementing practices.
In addition, Heraeus Medical proudly hosted two interactive booths at the conference, drawing record-breaking engagement. We also showcased and launched our latest portfolio addition, Synthecure® a 100% synthetic calcium sulfate with superior handling and rapid curing properties. Surgeons and attendees actively participated in dynamic Q&A sessions, hands-on product demonstrations, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
