The Gold Standard with Longer Implant Survival Rates

In 1972, PALACOS® R+G was introduced as the first commercially produced antibiotic-loaded bone cement by Heraeus (Kulzer) and is considered the gold standard in arthroplasty, today.1,2,3

Real-world data from the world's largest arthroplasty registry NJR4 regularly prove: hip and knee implants cemented with PALACOS® R+G show significantly lower revision rates compared to other bone cements and thus have longer implant survival rates.5,6

Indications*

PALACOS® R+G is indicated for surgical treatment such as

  • anchoring of endoprosthesis in primary and revision arthroplasty procedures of hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow
  • reconstruction of bone via induced membrane technique after tumor surgery and / or trauma
