The Gold Standard with Longer Implant Survival Rates

In 1972, PALACOS® R+G was introduced as the first commercially produced antibiotic-loaded bone cement by Heraeus (Kulzer) and is considered the gold standard in arthroplasty, today.1,2,3

Real-world data from the world's largest orthopaedic registry NJR4 regularly prove: hip and knee implants cemented with PALACOS® R+G show significantly lower revision rates compared to other bone cements and thus have longer implant survival rates.5,6

The use of PALACOS® R+G with gentamicin is indicated for

  • stable anchoring of total or partial joint endoprostheses in bone or filling and stabilising bone defects within the scope of internal fixation treatment or for endoprostheses revision surgery
  • primary and secondary plastic reconstruction of bone defects.
