The selection covered 20 sectors and industries, ranging from the automotive industry and the chemical sector to energy and the environment. A total of 2,785 innovation experts were surveyed and asked to evaluate companies within their sectors. The panel comprised 503 firms considered particularly innovative. Of these, 149 companies ranked in the top third of the preliminary selection and thus received the highest rating of five stars, while 354 companies received four stars.
Innovation is the driver of long‑term growth and is more crucial than ever in shaping and ensuring the competitiveness of Germany as a business location.
